Hi, all!  I'm a proofreader with 3 years' experience and also worked in a court reporting firm for 8 years, so I fully understand the ins and outs of this industry.  I have a bachelor's degree in English/Mass Communications and a sharp eye for anything grammatical.  I also do research on names, places of business, technical terminology, etc.  My rates are very reasonable and I usually return work within a day to a day and a half.  I typically read from text files and send corrections through Google Drive or scanned/e-mailed errata sheets, but I'm always open to suggestions!  New work is always welcome, so feel free to send me a message on this site or e-mail clr386@gmail.com.  Thank you!

I saw Brittani Rolf's posting below, and I just want to say that Brittani does proofreading for me, and she does excellent work.  I would highly recommend Brittani if you are looking for a proofreader.

Hey, guys!  I'm a proofreader/editor with lots of experience proofing to audio.  Your preferred format is my preferred format: Word, txt, PDF, etc.  I would love to get a chance to work with an awesome, competent, and (possibly) overwhelmed CR.  I don't charge weekend surcharges, and I am great in a pinch.  Ping me for a sample of my work, or send me a transcript and I'll proof the first 20 pages for free to see if we're a good fit.

Peruse my website for more info: brittanireads.com.

Email me directly at brittani@brittanireads.com.

I am currently taking on new long-term and/or overflow clients for proofing.  I am a real-time reporter in my court and utilize Eclipse, V7.  Media accepted: Eclipse file(s), PDF files, ASCII files.  I've been a reporter for 18 years and possess extensive knowledge in all areas of the industry.

You can just let me know how you would like your transcript marked for errors.  If sending an Eclipse file, I can certainly insert comment lines, for instance.

My prices are as follows:

40 cents pp for 5-day turnaround

50 cents pp for 48-hour turnaround

75 cents pp for 24-hour turnaround

1.00 pp for anything less than 24-hour turnaround

You can reach me at terifinney@gmail.com and I will get back with you as quickly as possible. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello.  I have been proofreading for a court reporter for the past four years and looking to add 1 or 2 more clients to my schedule.  I can return corrections on an errata sheet by e-mail.  I charge $0.40 per page for standard transcripts, and I return the corrections within 48 hours.  I usually get them back much sooner than that, but that is the latest I will get them back to you. My background experience is a Masters Degree in Administration with a focus in Human Resources.  I have 13 years experience working for the Federal Government and 3 years experience working in a law office.  Please feel free to contact me if you need any further information.  Thank you.

I'm caught up on all of my work. Let ME help YOU!

I am a thorough and reliable full-time proofreader. My proofreading services will help you gain valuable time back in your life by helping you become more efficient in your work. So that I can focus on each job, I only accept a limited number of transcripts to proof each week. PDF annotated corrections are returned via e-mail. Although I follow legal transcript grammar rules suggested by Morson’s English Guide for Court Reporters and The Gregg Reference Manual, I will follow your style and preferences first. I have proofread for court reporters since 1988 and enjoy working with reporters from all across the country. I pride myself on honesty and integrity, excellent work, reasonable/negotiable rates and quick turnaround time. I am well-adept at prioritizing work so as to meet everyone's deadlines and can boast very efficient time management. I have a steady clientele but am always looking to gain new reporters to keep the work flow moving along.

I hold a Master's Degree in English from Xavier University and have taught college-level composition, literature and business communications. Through my life's learning and formal education I have a strong sense of grammar/punctuation principles; however, I easily and willingly adjust to every client's particular style and read accordingly. Whether or not I agree with a client's preference, consistency is one of the keys to producing a solid transcript and is therefore one of my main areas of concern.

I am always open to meeting potential new clients via e-mail and seeing if we might be a good "fit" for each other. While I have enjoyed and continue to enjoy many successful working relationships, I have learned that I can not/will not work for reporters who send very "sloppy" transcripts. I am a proofreader, neither reporter nor scopist, and I firmly believe that another key to a solid final work product is having everyone involved do her/his best, as this is a team effort!

I am self-employed and d/b/a Kathy L. Hahn Editorial Services. If you are interested in any further information or if I can be of any assistance please contact me at increditor@yahoo.com.

Good morning! I am an experienced proofreader who is currently available to work for new clients. I have over seven years of experience as a scopist and proofreader, guided by the Morson's rules and reporter preferences. I am happy to provide corrections via PDF or directly in Case Catalyst 15. For more information on rates, please contact me at carmanyscoping@gmail.com.

Are you looking for a reliable proofreader right now?

I am responsive and dependable, and I'm hoping to find one or two reporters with whom to build a long-term working relationship. I would also welcome inquiries about short-term or one-off projects.

I will work with you to ensure your final product is clean and readable on the first pass.

I work on PDFs returning clearly annotated pages. Gregg is my right-hand man, but please tell me your punctuation preferences; this is your document, so your choices are paramount.

Please contact me or take a look at my website for more information.

I look forward to working with you.

As a skilled, hardworking CR, you are certainly capable of proofreading your own transcripts, right? But is that really the best way to run your business? Few people realize the many, varied tasks involved in providing the level of service and excellent final product your clients deserve when your name and reputation are on the line. Your proofreader knows!

As a skilled, hardworking proofreader, I am your partner in the art of producing polished legal transcripts. I’m your second pair of eyes (fresh eyes!) to catch slippery errors like homonyms (discrete/discreet, affect/effect), missing words, misspelled names, transpositions, and punctuation that can change the entire meaning of an apparently innocuous phrase (Let’s eat Gramma!). I check names and references to ensure they are correct and do light research to ensure continuity and context.

I want to add one CR to my schedule, hopefully for a long-term partnership. I’d like the opportunity to put my experience to work for you. I proof to your preferences supported by my strong foundation in grammar and punctuation backed up by Morson’s English Guide for Court Reporters, The Gregg Reference Manual, and Bad Grammar/Good Punctuation by Margie Wakeman Wells. My preferred method for proofreading is to receive your PDF file, which I will annotate, including as much explanation and references to specific rules as you prefer, and then return only the annotated pages to you as a PDF.

If you want a dedicated transcript proofreader at the ready on your schedule, I'm your girl! For more information, my rates and information sheet and contact information for recent/current client references, please email me at vjenkinspotm@gmail.com.

I’m a full-time proofreader committed to hunting errors and returning excellence.

I’m available for one-off jobs, but I’m really hoping to add one or two reporters to my regular clientele. I love being part of a team, and I find that long-term professional relationships yield better transcripts and make for a smoother workflow in the long run. If you agree, why don’t you send me a message?

Check out my website, PM me, or e-mail me for more information about my process, rates, or references.
