Are you looking for a dependable, detail-oriented proofreader? While proofing for you, my focus is on consistency, readability, and your personal preferences.

I am currently looking for one or two additional reporters to work with on a regular basis. I offer standard and rush services at competitive rates. Annotated pages are returned via PDF, or I can utilize “track changes” in Word. For more information, please visit my website:www.proofingbykathryn.com, and contact me with any questions at kathryn@proofingbykathryn.com.

I look forward to hearing from you!

I have proofread for court reporters since 1988 and enjoy working with reporters from all across the country. I pride myself on honesty and integrity, excellent work, reasonable/negotiable rates and quick turnaround time. I am well-adept at prioritizing work so as to meet everyone's deadlines and can boast very efficient time management. I have a steady clientele but am always looking to gain new reporters to keep the work flow moving along.

I hold a Master's Degree in English from Xavier University and have taught college-level composition, literature and business communications. Through my life's learning and formal education I have a strong sense of grammar/punctuation principles; however, I easily and willingly adjust to every client's particular style and read accordingly. Whether or not I agree with a client's preference, consistency is one of the keys to producing a solid transcript and is therefore one of my main areas of concern.

I am always open to meeting potential new clients via e-mail and seeing if we might be a good "fit" for each other. While I have enjoyed and continue to enjoy many successful working relationships, I have learned that I can not/will not work for reporters who send very "sloppy" transcripts. I am a proofreader, neither reporter nor scopist, and I firmly believe that another key to a solid final work product is having everyone involved do her/his best, as this is a team effort!

I am self-employed and d/b/a Kathy L. Hahn Editorial Services. If you are interested in any further information or if I can be of any assistance please contact me at increditor@yahoo.com.  ALSO Check out my new website http://increditor.wix.com/home

THANK YOU!

CSRNation has helped me connect with court reporters who were up to their ears in work and just needed some relief!  Through using this site, I have built steadfast, working relationships with some stellar clients and I couldn't be more grateful.  With that being said, one of my regulars has recently switched gears and has left the court reporting profession.  Now, I am looking to fill the gap.

I work hard, value client feedback, and absolutely love what I do.  I don't charge extra for weekend work or add surcharges for technical, medical, or dense steno.  For more info about me, my rates, and the buzz from reporters who have used my proofreading services, please visit me at www.stenoproofer.com

I'm excited to help you submit sterling steno!

I am a professional and reliable transcript proofreader for court reporters. Reading each and every word, and all of the spaces in between, I spot those little errors that can be easily missed. With thousands of pages of experience, I can provide you with reassurance that your final submission is clean, accurate, and reads smoothly.

I work day-to-day with the Gregg Reference Manual and Merriam-Webster, and my training was based on the guides of Lillian Morson and Margie Wakeman Wells; however my priority is to work with you to understand and deliver your proofreading preferences.

Being located in the UK brings benefits too. I will be up and working on your transcript long before your morning alarm rings.

Please contact me or take a look at my website for more information.

I look forward to working with you.

I am a professional transcript proofreader looking for full-time or part-time work. I have a flexible schedule and am willing to work weekends, and I return corrected transcripts via PDF.

  • My rates are $0.35 a standard page, $0.55 a page for rush jobs and $0.75 a page for emergency jobs. However, I am willing to negotiate.
  • I would love to proofread 20 pages for free so you can see if we are a good fit!
  • I was trained using the Gregg Reference Manual, Morson’s and Margie Wakeman Wells’ recourses, but I am definitely willing to go along with different preferences. I have a preference sheet available that you may fill out.

Experienced proofreader looking to add a few more reporters to my regular workflow. I offer a wide variety of options for your changes, fair rates, and flexible billing options. I prefer to proof right inside Eclipse (I'm on V6 and V7). This method saves my reporters tons of time! I will make obvious changes in a bright pink color for you to see. I leave comment lines for changes that I want to point your attention to and scan stops for areas that need to be checked. I can start immediately. I love expedites! References are available. Email suziefernandez10@gmail.com for more information.

Comment by Vincent Prewitt on April 27, 2016 at 7:04

Hello all. I'm Vincent Prewitt, transcript proofreader. I have an extensive amount of experience when it comes to transcripts, both as a transcriptionist and a proofreader. I have been trained on the principles of Morson's and The Gregg Reference Manual, but I will be more than happy to cater to your preferences. My normal turnaround time is two business days, but I do offer one-day or same-day turnaround if need be.

I proofread with or without audio. For without audio, I will send you the corrections in either an annotated PDF or in a DOC or RTF file using track changes in Microsoft Word. For with audio, it would just be the latter. I would also need an MP3 or WAV file that I can play back in Express Scribe (preferred) or FTR Player if you need me to proofread with audio.

I am a hard worker, very reliable, and very dependable, and I will make sure that your work is of the utmost accuracy. I also have references from reporters that have been very happy with my services. If you are interested, please e-mail me at vinceproofs@gmail.com for any questions you have about rates, TAT, or other general questions about my work. I am freed up completely and available to take work right now.

Thank you so much in advance!

Hi there! My name is Kristen,

I have recently completed Transcript Proofreading: Theory and Practice™, a rigorous course that allowed me to work with over 3,000 transcript pages!  I am ready to use my skills to help court reporters obtain a shiny, polished transcript that screams professionalism.  My goal is to ensure that your transcript reflects the quality that you expect.  I have spent several years as an English teacher, and I am looking to utilize my love for reading, as well as my skills in proofreading.  Reporters work so hard, and I am available to ease the workload in producing a beautiful transcript.

My preferred method of proofing is digital; I can receive PDF, .TXT, ASCII, or Word documents, but they will be returned as a PDF via e-mail.  I’d love to chat with you about specifics and answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to follow up with an e-mail.

I worked as a deposition court reporter in L.A., California for about 14 years.  I am currently proofreading for reporters.  I can provide references and samples upon request.  I can print the job out and type up corrections in Word on an errata sheet or return the corrections on my ipad in iannotate.  Please contact for rates and turnaround time (I am usually very quick).

Comment by Latifa Ahmad on March 24, 2016 at 11:50

Hello, I am a thorough and reliable full-time proofreader. My proofreading services will help you gain valuable time back in your life by helping you become more efficient in your work.  So that I can focus on each job, I only accept a limited number of transcripts to proof each week. PDF annotated corrections are returned via e-mail.  Although I follow legal transcript grammar rules suggested by Morson’s English Guide for Court Reporters and the Gregg Reference Manual, I will follow your style and preferences first. For more details, contact me at latifacanproofit@outlook.com

I was a court reporter for 14 years.  I am currently proofreading.  My Case Cataylst computer is not working at this point, so I can't scope right now.  I am able to do iannotate or an errata sheet.  I charge 30 cents/pg for a 2-3 day turnaround, and I usually get them back sooner.  I prefer a text first at 714-290-6338 because I get busy sometimes asking me if I can do the work.  An expedite is .50/pg, a daily is .70/pg, but I don't do many daily jobs.  Court would be .35 for regular turnaround, .55/pg for expedites and .75/pg for daily jobs.  Since I was a deposition reporter, I prefer depos.  Sometimes the reporters tell me when they need them by and how many pages about.  For errata jobs, they can go to nnrep@hotmail.com after the text.  For iannotate jobs, after the text, send it to nancinelson11@gmail.com.  Thanks!  I hope we can help each other out!

I am an experienced full-time California proofreader having read 735,000+ pages since November 2002. Maximum turnaround is 3 to 4 calendar days (often less).

Proficient with Stenograph Case CATalyst 17 and Stenovations digitalCAT programs utilizing spot-check audio. Also using iAnnotate or old-fashioned proofreading on paper upon request.

Heavy background in medical and legal fields and managed a California court reporting agency.

Please visit website for contact information, rate information, policies, and unsolicited testimonials. I am not listing my email in this post (and suggest others don't either) because they easily end up in the hands of spammers!
