I offer accurate services at a reasonable rate. I have never missed a deadline, and I always acknowledge receipt of all work with an estimate of when it will be returned. Transcripts are important documents that need to be polished to perfection, which means that court reporters need a proofreader they can rely on. That's why I offer 25 pages free on the first transcript you send and welcome constructive feedback, make sure the transcript is back before the deadline, and work with you to provide a service that’s tailor-made for your needs. My goal is to do great work that you can trust stamping your name on.

I use iAnnotate to create easy-to-read edits that you can compare directly with the original file, and you only receive the pages that have edits on them, saving you time. I use Morson’s, Gregg’s, and Bad Grammar/Good Punctuation, depending on preference.

Standard (1-2 days)……………………………$0.40/page

Rush (12-24 hours)…………………………….$0.60/page

Expedite (Less than 12 hours)…………..$0.75/page

Transcripts over 30 lines/page…………+$0.05/page

*No extra charge for weekends*

Hi there,

You are a court reporter who is in need of a pair of hawk's eyes finding and correcting your errors. I am a proofreader who is looking to take on a few reporters and who has spent years writing and editing for national publications with great success. Clearly, we're perfect for each other!

I can turn around most jobs in 48 hours, but can turn them around faster if needed. If you're interested, please email and we can chat.

A one-time job or a regular proofreader -- I am available for both of these. I'm currently seeking new clients and would love to help you clean up your work. From me, you can expect reliability and someone who is willing to work as soon as you need it and whenever you send it. With the clients I've worked with I've learned that every court reporter has different quirks and ways of completing their transcripts. I can adapt to your individual needs (including the method of reading -- PDF, print, etc.) as well as suggest corrections that will improve your work.

Take back your free time! Contact me today at or check out my LinkedIn profile here. I have a Rates & Information sheet ready to send to you as well as a resume.

Talk to you soon!

Transcript proofreader with more than 20 years' experience available immediately to court reporter with steady workload.  Experience in same-day, next day, and regular turnarounds (depositions and trials).  I proof from ASCII TXT (my preference) or PDF files, perform online research for verification and quality assurance, and provide a simple errata of corrections and queries.  Rates are negotiable.  Please contact for additional information.

Comment by Sue Ellen on May 15, 2017 at 16:36

My desk is clear and I am ready to add a couple of additional clients to my schedule.  I work full-time as a proofreader, so my focus is on my clients and the work they send me.   I have worked with court reporters for a number years, have a BA in English with a minor in linguistics, a broad vocabulary, and a passion for grammar and punctuation.

I work in .pdf format and have the ability to convert your documents, as needed, from .txt, .doc, or other formats.  In addition to depositions, hearings, and court proceedings, I also have experience with meeting minutes of various types.  I will read any type of case, regardless of content or subject.

I perform online research as a matter of course, and I insert sticky notes where my research results are more than a few words.

My regular AND expedited rates are reasonable, with no additional charges for weekends.  I am currently offering a special, introductory rate for first time clients.  Contact me for details!
