I just haven't downloaded the latest yet. I do have current tech support. You can email me at kingshand@hotmail.com. I do listen to full audio.

I find myself in a bind. I have been scoping for approximately 15 years. Before becoming a scopist, I was a deposition reporter and did freelance paralegal work. I did both paralegal work and scoping at the same time but finally decided I needed to let go of one of those branches. I chose scoping. I like doing it, it gives me more flexibility and if I may say so without tooting my own horn, I am good at scoping. But here is my bind: Two of my scopists for whom I've scoped since pretty much the beginning of my scoping days have decided to retire. I hate that. I don't blame them, but I hate it. I also have another reporter who has to have hand surgery and is going to seek other employment after the surgery. So BANG, I'm down to my part-time reporters. The three reporters that are leaving the business have kept me quite busy. I am on Eclipse and have versions 4 through 8. I take my job seriously. I know it's not my name that is being signed to the transcript, but I feel like it is and I don't want my reporters called on the carpet. I always do full audio scoping. I don't hold myself out to be a proofreader, but I do pre-proof my jobs with the audio before sending them back to my reporters. I take deadlines seriously. If I can't promise you that you'll have your job back when you need it, I will be truthful with you and just tell you that I can't. I won't take the job hoping I can get it completed in time. Also, the only time I charge expedited fees is when the reporter has asked me to do an expedite. If I happen to get a job completed in two days, I send it without attaching non-requested expedite fees. If anyone is looking for a scopist they can work with without drama, let me know. Reporters are so busy, I feel it's my job to take some of the burden off their shoulders and let them have some down time!
Thanks,
Cheryl
