Yes, Donna, I would add the asterisk K*EURK for the proper name, but if you key KEURK/TPH PL your dictionary will define that as Albuguerque, New Mexico, comma and all. Should the name Albuequerque come up alone, then key in KEURBB with no asterisk.
Further examples are: TKEPB/KOL for Denver, Colorado
TROEUT/PHEURB for Detroit, Michigan
SKEN/TPHORK for Schenectedy, New York
LOEUM/WA for Olympia, Washington
Child, I tell you, I've been doing this for years as it always seemed I was trailing something fierce; and after all these years, I'm still am trailing, only this time around, it's very well controled.
Thanks, Steve! That's a great way of doing it. I like that. Hey, feel free to write all the states, A-Z. But like for KEURK, that could be a guy's name, too. Would you throw the asterick in there?

Cities and states? Just add them to your personal dictionary, not job dictionary in two strokes such as KEURK/TPH PL for Albuquerque, New Mexico. Use the predominate sound for the city and the standard brief for the state. Another one? KLUM/HAOEU is for Columbus, Ohio. Okay, already, just one more then you can take it from there: SAELT/WA for Seattle, Washington. Yes, yes, I know, they don't publish me in NCRA because I'm the stud muffin from daytime soaps, you know.
