Connecting to Livenote and Caseview Net in court at the same time!!!

I was hoping to get some feedback from reporters who have done trial work in court and have provided realtime through Livenote to the judge, but also was able to provide realtime to the attorneys through Caseview Net using Case Catalyst software.  Is this even possible to do? I know reporters have provided RT for both the judge and counsel simultaneously, but I'm not sure it's possible using the two different software programs at the same time.

I have the multi-line block to hook up to each attorney, but that uses a different comport than the serial port converter I use to hook up Livenote for the judge.  I'm not sure I am able to use both because they each have a different comport number and the software only allows you to choose one.  Am I doing something wrong or do I just need a different system?

This is all new to me.  I've provided RT for the judges for years, but have never done it for the attorneys.  I would really appreciate any feedback!!  Thank you!!

How did it go?

When I used cables, I could send out to LiveNote and Caseview Net at the same time.  As Kyung mentioned, it's the same protocol.  Just choose Caseview protocol to output and send everyone through the multiline block, including the judge.  The com port you choose on CaseCatalyst is the com port that you're outputting over, not what they're receiving at.  That's chosen on their computer.

I've even outputted via my Caseview Net router to CVN and to LiveNote at the same time via cable.  So it's definitely possible.  Just set everyone up on your multiline block.

I think you're going to need a router if you want to use CaseView Net.

I don't think it should be a problem.  Try to do a test run before you have to go out.

I use Case Catalyst. I know I can use both Livenote and CaseView Net all at the same time when it's all hooked up through the multi-link block using one serial port connection, but this is using two different serial port connections.  I will be hooked to the judge with one connection and to the attorneys through another comport connection using the multi-link.  Is that even possible or do they all have to be on one serial port connection using the same comport connected to the multi-link block? That's my problem.  Case only has a choice for one comport at a time, correct?  I need to use two different comports with two different connections! :/ Maybe I'm just possibly overthinking the whole thing, but I just want to be prepared and know what I'm up against when I try to do this tomorrow for my case.

What software are you on for realtime?

Thank you, Kyung.  So you are saying even if they are connected to two different serial port drivers with two different comport numbers I can still do it?  The judge will be connected through one port while the attorneys will be another port using the multi-link block.

You can do it  LiveNote takes Case protocol, so just send out Case protocol to both LiveNote and Case Catalyst software.  You really shouldn't have to do anything at all.  Just make sure the baud rates are all matching.
