Need to convert CDA sound files to either WAV or WMA

I need to convert some sound files from CDA format to WAV format. I usually do this easily with NCH Switch Plus software, but for some reason when I add the file to be converted and click on converted it turns to a red X instead of a green checkmark. Anybody out there have a clue?

Thank you all so very much for all your great suggestions. So nice to have a place like this to post difficult question and get some solid information in return. We are working with the CDA files (able to open them in Realplayer) and were able to convert them from the original CD. I have sent an email to my client requesting them to send us WAV or WMA files in the future if at all possible. Take care everyone! Have a great Sunday!
