Got a chance to write on a LS last weekend, yay! After a while, though, the bases of my thumbs were a bit sore. Did you all experience anything like that while getting used to writing on it? I wonder if using it with the tripod would help that. It seemed that I'd like the case around it to have a little more to it on the inside edge to rest my palms on. Do you rest your palms or keep your hands held up in the air or how do you all do it? Just still wondering if I could get used to it. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED everything else, though :). The touch was simply amazing.

Thanks!

If you put pads on the keys thumbs won't get sore. :) Hi Michelle!
You don't rest your palms. You can only rest your hands on the keys if:

1) you always rest the same stroke, that will not register (like, Q + A + vowels)
or
2) you rest your fingers then hit asterisk just before you start writing
Hi, Mark :)
Do you mean to make the vowels a bit higher? I re-watched the MSC videos on it and it seems that you don't rest your palms on it. Not sure if you had it a bit higher just for the video or if that's how you hold your arms to write. And I forget if you use the tripod or just use it on your lap. With my Stentura I rest my forearms on my legs (thanks to your ergonomics video and seminar instructions saving my shoulders from years of torture!!!), but with the LS in my lap I couldn't do that. I was resting the bottom of my palms on the plastic edge of the LS and just moving my fingers to write.
Thanks!
I have had thumb pain with the LS and using key pads. I had two long days in a row, over 300 pages per day, which brought it on. I've had pain since.
