I've been having a problem lately where attorneys dispute the charge for realtime about three months after the depo is taken.  It has happened to me three times now.

So frustrating; they're adamant they want the service and also use the service, my netbook, and then deny they got RT.  Anyone else come across this problem?

I guess I'm going to have to start having them sign for the fact they're receiving RT.

Yeah, that is brilliant, Mary Ann, to take a picture.  Love that.

Kelli, that's some typo!  <ggg>!!!

Feel me once, I own your firm.

M.A.

LOL, M.A.!!!    HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Love it, M.A.!

LOL.  Need to proof my posts I guess.  Sorry, been on an all-day biomed patent infringement case.  A little tired I guess.

Maybe it was wishful thinking.  LOL!!

haha, there you go, Kelli!  You'e a little loopy from all the biomed terminology so go figure!

How I handle that, Kelli, is by stating at the end of the record, while my hands are still on my machine, "Although Mr. Smith is the only one accessing real time today, would any of you care for an expedited copy, email, condensed or ASCII?"   When you are a reporter representing various firms, you have to do your best to try to protect yourself and the firm; and attorneys are aware of what is expected and what is going on.  So if you do it on the record in front of all present, just as they are doing their job, it is your sure way to protect yourself and to give anyone an opportunity to clarify their order, including objections to the fact they actually did or did not receive real time that day.  Several firms have complimented me for always getting it on the record at the end because it is a protection, but it has just become a habit due to the same issue you are stating.  A recent firm owner friend of mine just told me the same thing happened to her, they denied the RT hookup, and she's taking up my routine now... and, of course, I certainly can't take credit for it and didn't start it, but I thought it was a good habit that has just carried over to today.  Good luck with that.
