My kids will be 22 and 25 this Christmas holiday.  In the past I've always filled up their Christmas stockings with candy goodies.  They love getting the stocking filled with "goodies," but both are turning away from candy.  What does everybody else fill their stockings with for their kids?

My Chi went blind (SARDS due to medication prescribed by vet) and you definitely do not want a blind or semi-blind dog walking up and down stairs.  For a while after Bridget went blind she'd go up and down stairs, until one day I found her at the bottom, screaming in pain if I touched her.  She must have fallen down the stairs.  Took her to the vet, of course it was a holiday so it was an emergency room vet, and they actually wanted to do back surgery.  We ended up giving her muscle relaxers and kept her confined and she was fine after a week, but obviously stairs were not in her future after that, and she knew it.

Bridget also gained a lot of weight after she went blind (she's supposed to be 6 pounds and is more like 12-14), mostly from all of the water she was drinking, but also due to inactivity.  Blind dogs don't play and run around, UFL.

Bud's not an itchy dog and doesn't roll around.  Henry (Springer Spaniel) is, though.  Bud's just now turning one, so hasn't had a lot of medical issues yet.  And since he's my son's dog, I stay out of it as much as possible.  My son is very territorial over his dog.  I'm not sure technically what color they call it, but he's a light brown with white.

Razor blades/shaving cream.   I have two sons, 13 and 22, and both are Hot Wheel collectors, just like my husband, so if I can find something rare, it's Hot Wheels too!

Good ideas, Rosalie.

Keep 'em coming.

Hi Judy!  My kids are 22 and 23, so I know what you are saying!!  I have a boy and a girl, so I give my son like a wallet with some cash in it, and like Rosalie said, new razor, etc.  My daughter I'll give Victoria's Secret perfume, jewelry, etc.   For both of them I give gift cards, like $25 each so they can get gas or whatever they'd like.  I also will give my daughter a Starbuck's gift card since she loves their coffee, and my son loves a local Mexican place, so I'll give him a gift card for that place.  I also put New York scratch-offs in their stocking, you never know, they might hit it big, haha, plus they love scratching them off!

Hi, Carol.  For their major gift, they get straight cash.  They both prefer that (and so do I).  But, yes, gas cards, McDonalds, and I love the idea of the lotto cards.  Thanks!

No problem!  My son said he wanted lots and lots of cash for Christmas, we both had a good laugh! haha  I buy them clothes (they love that) and usually a big gift, like last year they got iPads, but this year I'm getting off easy, they don't want or need electronics, so clothes it is, and some cash, and gift cards, and scratch-offs!
