I went to work this morning and as I was getting into my car a pick axe fell off its hanging perch on the garage wall and landed on my car I left a horrible dent and a deep cut in my Lexus.

Boo-hoo, me.  If that's all I have to worry about I am very blessed.  I am so fortunate to be one of the 2 percent (even though I live in California and it's more like 50 percent.)  My health is good.  And it's not like I haven't been through a ton of trying circumstances health wise, personal wise.   But I feel blessed to be able to work physically (still at my age) and have a pipeline of jobs.

Anyway, in light of the day's events I have to say this year I have been blessed through no efforts of my own, just being faithful in the little things day by day (which is all I can do.)

I am thankful for Kelli making this site available.  And thank you all for your encouragement.  We have a tough job.  I tell my husband when I come home from a long day.   I felt like I played a video game for 6 hours, you know, where every moment was taken up concentrating on something and I could not even have a thought of my own because my brain was too busy.

You all are great ladies!   I hope you feel blessed, too.   Hug someone.  I know I will.

Martha, that was such a touching post.  I agree with you.  Sometimes we forget how fortunate we really truly are.  Thank you for your kind post.

Last night while I was stuck in traffic for three hours, I kept trying to call my husband and text him and he wasn't getting back to me.  We had plans with friends after work and I hadn't heard from him.  This is very unusual and he never does this.  I called four times from 4:30 to 7:00 and left tons of texts.  There was a fatality of three people on the freeway.  I was absolutely convinced something had happened to him.  I was almost in tears; just knew something was wrong.  Turns out he was in a three-hour listing appointment with very old people that took him forever.  When he finally did call, I was a mess.

I feel very lucky that nothing happened to him and how much he means to me.  I would be devastated without him.  I am very thankful he is okay.  I thought maybe he was in that fatality on the freeway.
