I have just been hired as a federal reporter [insert every possible emotion]. In Kentucky, there are no reporters in state court unless the attorneys want to hire them out of their own pocket. That basically never happens, so my court experience is pretty slim. Another reporter and I tag-teamed a week-long trial four years ago, and that about sums it up.

Needless to say, I am looking for as many briefs and commonly used phrases as I can get my hands on! Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much, everyone! You guys rock!! All these briefs are great and will come in very, very handy.

My first official day isn't until September 8, but I did pleas Friday. That helped just getting an idea of the repetitive phrases, etc. I'm guessing arraignments will kind of be the same way with a lot of the same stuff said over and over. But I guess that just makes life that much easier knowing what question is next! Now if I can just get past the nerves ... :)
