My first time writing to a laptop - no paper

Mary Ann made comments about using the Dragon.  I had two more depos in the same matter.  And I knew they were going to be lengthy.  So I put on my professional panties and wrote to my laptop - no paper.  This was it.  I let my confidence and my skills guide me.   And the attorneys could see my laptop.

I watched that laptop during the whole depo.  I saved every few pauses.  I was amazed at how clean it was coming out.  I dropped small words.  I already had briefs for the words I knew would be coming out.   I hit wrong strokes.

But it was far cleaner and better than I was expecting.

Good for you, Mary Jo!!!  You have to start somewhere.  Most experienced attorneys know that a realtime feed is not going to be 100% perfect anyway.   You'll just start getting more confident and more confident as you progress.

Everyone once in a while you'll come across an attorney that actually expects every name to come up correctly but that's rare.
