Black Friday

The Friday after Thanksgiving where the stores open early so that you can work off your Thanksgiving turkey by shopping, shopping, shopping. Traditionally the start of the Christmas shopping season. Of course, we all know that the stores these days jump the gun.

Called "black" Friday bec. traditionally it is when stores finally break a profit, and they're able to use black ink in the financial ledgers.

I have gone to a couple of these black Friday events after Thanksgiving, and I'll probably be going this year. Just haven't decided what and when. Usually, I see lots of flyers for them. But I'm not seeing anything out there yet. If you guys see any great sales at any of the stores, share.

I heard on the news that the stores will be starting their sales early this year.

I heard the same thing.. in fact, they have already started... supposedly.
If i can pick up a nice cheap laptop.. i think i will be happy.

So did anyone get any good deals? I really wanted to get one of those small laptops, but with the uncertainty in the economy, I refrained. I did some minimal shopping for Xmas presents for others.
