I've had the same settings for my Eclipse display for two years, and I need a change. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Currently, my background is a pale pink, my text is black, untrans are yellow, conficts are navy, Q's are green, A's are purple, and I'm tired of them all! Any ideas?

Yup, that's where I am, and I don't see a choice for page background colors. I see normal translated text as the first choice, but -- NEVER MIND. FOUND IT! LOL.

Thanks.
Jenny, this is my favorite procrastination pastime. I constantly am changing colors, esp. w/ the seasons. I haven't done it in a while ~ I guess I haven't been busy enough ;)) Maybe I'll do that today! Fool around w/ the colors and see what you like ~ I tell ya, it's addicting ;)
Oh, I forgot to say that I have a picture of my kids as my background/desktop in Eclipse when there's no job open. I like it much better than the default thingie!! I got that tip from Keith Vincent and off the top of my head can't remember how to do it, but that's fun too:))
Stacy, I've done that pic on my Eclipse background too! Check out my page. It's the second pic. That's April behind a dahlia from her yard. It cracks me up every single time I open up Eclipse. But then I'm easily amused!
Well, I'm still fiddling around with my display. After editing today on my new darker background, I found myself feeling a big down and gloomy, and I realized my dark teal was getting to me. The minute I switched back to my light pink/peach background, I cheered right up.

This exercise has not been for nothing, however, as I now know how to change the colors for my notebar, and I am becoming quite proficient at importing and exporting set files. If anyone wants to try my cheery display, e-mail me and I'll send it over. Jenlug@pacbell.net

I just sent you an e-mail:)) Great colors and just in time for Valentine's day coming up!!
I also tried the darker background ~ I also just didn't like it. I kept trying to tell myself it's better on my eyes, but that didn't work ~ oh, well!!
Hey, I really like that cheery display. I am a scopist. If I change it on the reporters' user settings, is that the way it goes back to them? I might have to ask them if they want that or not. : )
Cheri, I'm pretty sure the display stays only with you. I have several inis: Final, Edit, Realtime. If I Alt e the same job into each one of them, they all look different as they each contain different display settings.

When you are working on a reporter's job, are you using the settings that reporter has given you? In other words, have you imported their entire reporter.ini? I actually don't know how scopists set up their files.

I'm really curious if all scopists see all the different conflicts in different colors - selected and unresolved - and is the steno in a different color like my example shows. I've got the macros in green and the deletes in red so they stand out, and that makes it so easy to see a goof so a scopist can pay extra attention to that area.
Hmm, I'd like to try your colors. Can you email it to me at cheriATscopingtodayDOTcom? I'll try it in my .ini file first.

I have different user settings for each of my reporters. None of them have changed colors and use whatever is standard. My conflicts are green and the automatically picked ones are gray right now.
Jenny sent the display to me. It is so great!! I see all of the different conflict colors. It's great!!

Thanks so much!!
Oh, Jenny, can I try out your settings? Can you email it to me when you have a chance? Thanks!
