Also, when we first started w/Phil, we got to see the man himself. But then the next couple of years we got passed off to assistants. For the big bucks, I want the big man himself.
I see that you are a Stenocat user. I currently have the student version. I have also been shown the Case Catalyst and was pretty impressed with it. Have you ever used anything besides the Stenocat?
I am leaning toward the Stenocat because of the price to get in it. I don't want to be sorry later on after starting work. It does seem like a very basic program compared to Case. Can you tell me anything that stands out about Steno for you? Thank you for your time.
You asked about the word "sylvan." Webster's likes this word and the s-y-l-v-a-n spelling. As an adjective it pertains to the woods or forest; of, relating to, or characteristic of the woods or forest; made, shaped, or formed of woods or trees; abounding in woods, groves, or trees.
Have you decided which CAT software, CC or Eclipse? I'm an Eclipse scopist as well as one of their trainers. I won't confuse you with my biased opinion except to say I was a StenoCat user and found Eclipse more intuitive to learn and use. Good luck. joyce davis
P.S. If you have any questions I can answer for you about Eclipse, from a scopist's point of view, please send them to my e-mail address: jadavis@comcast.net
Best regards,
Betty Kelly, Scopist
