On July 15th the latest movie will be released in the Harry Potter series, Half Blood Prince. If you're a fan like me, they don't make the movies fast enough. The first two movies, The Sorcerer's Stone and The Chamber of Secrets, are my favorites. J.K. Rowling is a gifted writer with a fantastic imagination. I'll be out there waiting in line with all the other Potter fans, and I will probably see the movie twice if I'm lucky!

You know, the convention was great for those interested in such things. My daughter had a wonderful time. I, on the other hand, had a lot of free time to edit a late depo and eat lots of Italian food in the restaurant across the street from our hotel (which was wonderful for me). It was great fun with a lot of pod casts (no idea how to spell that) and the actor who played Percey Weasley (spelling, again) was there. It was really cool. There are a couple of rock bands who sing Harry Potter music that were on the dinner cruise around Alcatraz. It was cool because they were at our hotel and around all the time. Lindsey had a great time talking to them and to the YouTube people who were prevalent throughout the event.

It's all a little much for me, but I enjoyed the free time, since my daughter didn't really need supervision. It's nice when the kids are old enough to be on their own.

Veronica,
When you're back home you must absolutely tell us Muggles all about the convention and upload some pix, too!

April, I'll actually be there 6 days, but if I add up the cost to house my car and the cost of gas, it's still cheaper than flying. Not by much, though. So I guess I'll see if I can park at a Bart station. I've heard I can do that, but I don't know how that works for overnight.

Should be fun, though.

Three more days to go! But I'm with Allison, I don't think I'll be hitting the midnight showing.

Wow, Veronica, $44 a day for parking? Depending on how long you stay, that just might add up to a plane ticket. Bum-mer
