On July 15th the latest movie will be released in the Harry Potter series, Half Blood Prince. If you're a fan like me, they don't make the movies fast enough. The first two movies, The Sorcerer's Stone and The Chamber of Secrets, are my favorites. J.K. Rowling is a gifted writer with a fantastic imagination. I'll be out there waiting in line with all the other Potter fans, and I will probably see the movie twice if I'm lucky!

Six more days until the convention. Don't you wish you were me right now?

Although, I did just find out it will cost me $44 a day to park my car at the hotel. I'm looking for
a less expensive alternative. I may just have to fly.

Heh ... I was in that line too! Left close to midnight; had to go to two different bookstores because the first one's line was just insanely long.

(Mildly) interesting, I just ran across a copy of Entertainment Weekly that came out the day the last book came out. Had a big cover story on the whole "final book" thing. Good thing I saved it ... 'cause now I can re-read it!

Come to think of it, it couldn't hurt to re-read the final book! Now, where did I put that ...?

Glen,

That sounds like so much fun! Happy Hour and then watching Harry on an IMAX screen. Sounds too good to pass up.
Enjoy :=)

OMG, Veronica! Ten days of being surrounded by Muggles, Wizards, and magic, oh my! Have a great time with your daughter. I'm kind of jealous -- just kind of :)

Our local Meetup Group is going to a showing of Half Blood Prince on the 30th -- and an IMAX theater! Hope I can make it ....

A convention?! Holy crap!

Maybe you should leave your credit cards at home ... because you're probably going to be coming home with a couple hundred bucks worth of sorting hats, posters, and crystal balls ....

Melissa,
I'm going to be seeing the Twilight movie within the week. I've heard there's quite a following with the books, too.
I'm looking forward to checking out this new genre (for me.)

She's now done writing the book series and now they're just going to make the movies til the series is done. I'm surprised you didn't see any adults in that long line. In my area half the people in line are big kids (adults) :)

I thought they made the final movie 2 years ago? or did she write her final book about this?
Years ago i went to an opening (not intentionally mind you) I say 1000s of kids in looong lines and some had full costumes..etc
I was the tallest guy there, good ol times.
