I think I blinked and missed January

Wow!! My head is spinning. This month is almost over. I can't believe it.

The good news, I haven't been writing 2008 on all my checks. Of course, that's probably just bec. I haven't been writing any checks. I'm just letting them pile up until the bill collectors arrive at my door. Just kidding. And don't worry you scopists and proofers out there. I'm still paying you on time. But it did seem extra fast to me.

The bad news. I hear in California they're not going to be sending us our California state tax refund until if and when our budget is balanced. That is a huge bummer!! I was counting on that money. I wonder if we can defer paying? I bet not. Darn!!

Anyhoo, we're fully into 2009 and the year of the OX, how are you guys donig acros the country? Hang in there!!

January did disappear quite quickly. Maybe that's because I now live where it doesn't snow. I wonder how those buried in white stuff felt about the month.

One way to keep from writing "2008" on your checks is to go through and write "2009" on maybe the first 20 blank checks. By the time you get to the 20th check, you'll probably be automatically writing "2009."
