There's Santee St. as well as Santee Alley, which is off Santee St. and so it could mean either one. I've heard there's good knock-off jeans in Santee Alley (as opposed to Street), but haven't been able to find them. If you find them, let me know. I've been there numerous times. You have to have a good eye. Some guys even sell off of milk cartons sitting on the street. We recently had a case where Santee Alley got raided, so a lot of the knock-offs got scooped up. But my daughter got a really good Fendi knock-off there a long time ago. You have to have cash and you can talk them down in price. There's a wonderful make-up place and perfume place there, too.
PS I wouldn't eat anything around there (unless you see an A by some chance!)
