Hi,

Just wondered if anyone has a new lap top with high resolution  and Windows 8 and the latest version of Case cat AND if the text seems blurry.  I am not sure if it is my eyes or the resolution issue.  I have gotten "office space" glasses and I am still experience "stress" when I proof on my laptop.  I know the Case Catalyst is planning on upgrading their resolution to be more compatible with the latest laptops in January.  I hope that will be helpful.  I wish there was a setting to in the view, display colors to change it so it was more like reading on a Paperwhite Kindle.  Has anyone experienced this and what did you do to fix it?  I tried to change the "background" color to black and text to white but some words didn't come up because of the color.  I am so bummed and frustrated and have 300 pages to read today.  Maybe I should just print them! Any ideas?

Can't speak to the initial high resolution question, but I was curious about something else you posted.  I'm not sure what you mean by "some words didn't come up because of the color."  I know when I switch to a black background, I need to modify not only my text color but the colors for some things like conflicts, fields, and untranslates.  Those are super easy to change, though.  I have several different color combinations set and saved as alternate user settings so that with two clicks I can be looking at a totally different color scheme.  I find it very refreshing for tired eyes.  I actually find that a grey background works the best as it takes away the brightness and yet my colors show up on it just fine.

Long ago I experimented with different backgrounds and text colors and found that a dark blue or royal blue background and yellow lettering is easiest on my eyes.  A white background and black lettering seems like too much of a contrast.  Also, for my display font I use Bookman Old Style - in bold on my laptop, nonbold on my desktop monitor.  For some reason that font is very easy for me to read and spot errors.
