I've been getting into memoirs lately (something I used to never, ever read), mostly because a few of my favorite celebs recently put out books -- Lauren Graham and Mara Wilson. (They're just as funny in writing as they are on screen, by the way.) I also read, "Hypocrite in a Pouffy White Dress" in high school, which was surprisingly entertaining.

Anyone have recommendations for witty, insightful, essay-style memoirs?

There should be a book club group! We can all read a book and chat about it together! :D

We could have one on here.  There is a way to make a new topic for people who want to join.  I'm game if anyone else wants to do it.  I've never been in a book club or even done a buddy read.  Anyone else interested???

I’ve started reading some memoirs lately, and I’m really enjoying them. Lauren Graham’s has been on my to-read list. I need to head to the library and get it.

I recently enjoyed 'Becoming' by Michelle Obama.
As well, 'In Order to Live: A North Korean Girl's Journey to Freedom' by Yeonmi Park.
