Perhaps there are other high speed students out there interested in using proofreading as a way to get through school. I'd appreciate any input people might have.

I am a high speed student looking to proof transcripts. It'll be a great way for me to see how they are set up and I have excellent English skills. How do I go about doing it?
I have been fortunate to have a friend who is a working reporter. We attended school together, and I have proofread three of his transcripts in the last month. They were 40, 60, and 80 pages respectively. He lives nearby and would meet me, giving me the hard copy to go over w/ a red pen. I do have the same question you do though, because sometimes it's hard to market myself....I have looked on classified pages to see how other proofreaders have done it. Some use e-mail....I will say this. The transcripts I see at school are filtered. Real transcripts will say anything...how high speed are you? And thank you for the reply.
