Greetings:
Is there anyone out there in the Greater SF Bay Area who could foster one or more cats, or who knows someone who might be able to, or has an idea about getting word out to potential fosters?
Maine Coon Adoptions is a WONDERFUL organization that successfully placed over 180 rescued cats last year around here. They specialize in MCs and MC mixes, but also handle other breeds. We have happily adopted two great cats from them. They're presently in a bind because they just intervened in two ghastly animal-hoarding cases. Temporary homes are needed. Some of the animals are presently being boarded which is expensive and not the best solution at all for these traumatized animals.
Ted and I decided that we are not home enough to take this special-need situation on, but we have sent a donation and are publicizing it any way we can. If you'd like to receive more info, you can email me at stenobauer@gmail.com, and I'll forward it to you.
