Inserting the OOPS format symbol into a transcript

As I write, sometimes I will write notes to myself to check stuff later when I edit a transcript. The trouble is these notes can be seen by the attorneys or my judge as I write them.

So, what I've done is put a steno stroke into my dictionary OIPS/OIPS and define it with the OOPS format symbol. What I do then is when I am editing I open up my Hotspot Dialogue pane and I can see all my trouble spots sorted by page and line. I can even print them out. Those OOPS format symbols only show up in the reveal codes and not in the transcript. So, as the realtime is going out no one can can see your little notes, really they're flags to yourself, to check this and check that in your transcript.

There is another way to put notes in a transcript to yourself but I'll cover that in another post. The other great part is the oops stroke works either in realtime or while you're writing "uplugged."
