Comment by Montrell Vann, RMR, RDR, CRR on October 3, 2012 at 16:00: Yes, you should definitely see the microphone and pause icons. I just did a test on my Diamante to make sure. Those icons appear directly to the left of the black horizontal bar you were referring to earlier.

Comment by Wynne A. Pauly on October 3, 2012 at 15:55: Splitting is the opposite of stacking. Instead of two three strokes appearing one line, it's a one stroke work showing as two or three strokes.....lots of them....not just once in awhile.

The indication that the recording has paused is directly to the left of the horizontal bar. When the recording has paused, the display transitions from a microphone symbol to a pause symbol. When it begins recording again, the pause symbol transitions to the microphone symbol.
