Personal Introduction

I am a new court reporter student. I'll be attending Huntington Junior College on-line this fall (the staff and administration have, so far, been absolutely terrific people to deal with). I received my BS in History from Portland State University in 2000. Since then, I have been writing, editing, and proofreading professionally for seven years (most recently with Thomson Reuters (Scientific)). I use Case CATalyst 9. I am not ready to scope yet, but I am quite good at proofing. I'd love to hear from any person who was, or is, in a situation similar to mine. If for no other reason than just to get a handle on your experience and get an idea of what to expect.
