Hello. I am a Court Reporter with 25-years experience. I understand our profession and the importance of perfection and reliability. My rates are comparable.
If you currently need an eagle-eyed proofreader, I am available! If not, please feel free to keep my information on file in the event you might need a backup or a one-off job. I would also be delighted if you shared my contact info with your colleagues. I take full advantage of current technology to proof via iAnnotate .pdf format, track changes in Word, and proof with audio. I can convert your .txt files, too! If you request it, I would be happy to proofread a few pages for you – at no cost – to give you a chance to see my work and decide whether or not we would be a good match. I feel a proofreader and court reporter should be a team, working toward the same goal of producing the best work possible. I will work with your personal preferences and meet your deadlines, because your name is on the finished product. My goal is to help you be excellent!

Are you in need of a dependable legal proofreader? Let me buzz through your work with my meticulous eye for errors! I’m very flexible, do light research, follow Morson's, and can turn jobs around in 24-48 hours - or less! In addition, I can work across different time zones with no problem. Most importantly, I love what I do and take pride in returning thoroughly proofed work.
My introductory rate for new clients is only $.30 per page for regular, 48-hour delivery. I receive transcripts in PDF and I only return the annotated pages. This process has helped me streamline my proofing and speed up my return time.
Please e-mail me at lyndsey.swarm@gmail.com at your convenience with any questions or inquiries. I'd be happy to send you my rate sheet, sample of my work, and a reporter's preference sheet.
I look forward to hearing from you and thank you in advance for your consideration!

I'm looking for a proofreader to read something for me this morning. Please send me your experience and rates @ laura@thornsberryreporting.com. Thanks!
Hi all Proofreaders/Scopists:Does anyone want to stay up tonight and proof about 205 pages? I can split them up also, but I prefer not to do that. There is an additional 118 that may need proofing.
PLEASE only respond if you have experience with technical transcripts. It is a VERY technical document and I have done all the research, of course; still, I need someone who can understand the complexity of the material well enough to know when an error has been made.
I MUST have it proofed and returned tonight/early morning, like whatever you can do by 3:00 a.m., in order to meet the deadline. I would also ask that you are proficient in recognizing formatting errors when they occur, as the entire transcript follows the same formatting.
I really am not as picky as it sounds, but I just don't want to rely on the expertise of a proofreader only to pay them and have to reproof it myself. I hope that doesn't sound rude or abrupt, but this time I really need someone who can proofread well (which I know many of you -- most of you --do, of course!)
So if you're up for making extra $ and staying up tonight and working with me, we can get started as soon as I hear from you.
I am on Case CAT. I am an experienced reporter (26 years), so my transcripts really are very clean.
Thanks, everyone!
I just had to suspend another reporter today for not paying a proofer that she got the job covered in this group. What's wrong with people??
Thanks, Kelli, for watching out for us! xoxo
Be careful, proofers. The last person that posted here yesterday, which I took the post off, I've been informed she uses a proofer for as long as she can without paying them and then moves on to the next one. Please be aware. I don't want anyone not to get paid for their hard work.
