Help w/ cursor not matching notes

Any night owls out there? I just don't feel like calling support right now. I've had this happen before and I can't remember what it means or what I can do. I'm about 28 pages in of editing this transcript and all of a sudden my cursor in the tript is not matching up w/ the cursor on my notes.

Hmm ~ also, just noticed that where it starts messing up in this section, in my notes I have obvious Q. and A. and speaker symbols and it's all just one big paragraph on my transcript page. (like no Q or A or speaker translated?)

Scrolling down, Qs and As and speakers are back in but now my cursor is way, way off (not just a word or two like it was originally)

Maybe I need to call support. I just wanted to get through this transcript and get to bed ~ not looking promising ~ any ideas before I call??

You're going to have to retran into a different name. Once you do, rename your original audio file to the new name so you have it to work with.

Should I copy the first 27 pages I've done and make a separate file of them and then past them in the retran or will that screw it up again?

It won't mess it up by pasting it in. I think what I did last time was to retran it, but used a different name. My original was still there. Then I read the good bit into the new one.

Wouldn't hurt to have it saved somewhere else, though, just to be sure.

You might want to optimize too. You never know. Better to optimize early and lose only a few pages then optimize after you're done w/the job and lose a ton.

Thanks, Kyung. It actually work perfect by retran'ing under a new name and then reading in the first 27 pages. I also had saved the first pages by ALT+W'ing them into a new file. So I have files all over the place ;)) BUT, I do always forget about the optimizing (even though I don't really understand it;) and should have done that too. SO thank you for reminding me to make a note for next time!!

Optimizing is good for some cases. Last time I had this problem, I called support, and they told me to retran. I only optimize when prompted by the software.
