Eclipse Version 5 Users

This group is for Version 5 users to share what aspects of Version 5 they are using and why.....as well as requests for help as problems arise using Version 5.

I just downloaded Version 5 (a year after it came out), and I feel like I'm learning Eclipse all over again.

Would greatly appreciate input from other Version 5 users.

The weird thing is most of the time it's showing up as one colon.  I've only seen it once so far coming up with two colons.  I guess I could delete it and type it in by hand.

If you only have one colon showing on the By line tab, delete it and see if the text goes down to one colon. I don't know why it's adding an extra colon either.

Hmm, hope you'll let us know.  Now I'm curious. :)

Yeah, I don't see two colons coming up there.   I may have to call tech support.

Thank you.  I'll try that right now.  I've never noticed this before.  It is only showing up sometimes.  Weird.

Hi, Kelli.  Did you check your byline format?  If you go to edit bylines under your user settings, there may be a colon in there you need to take out.

Does anyone know how to get rid of two colons?  MS. JONES::

is coming up with two colons.  I, of course, just put in the attorney's name and not the colons and the software is putting them in.  Anyone know how to make that one colon?

I use macros Ctrl Shift [ and Ctrl Shift ] for adjusting audio playback speed.  I *think* these were default Eclipse macros, but I don't remember for sure.

If those keys don't work, look in your Macro Editor for several macros in a row beginning {Playback: and also look for one further down the alphabetical list called Playback Normal Speed & Volume.  Open the first {Playback: macro and assign it the speed key you want to use.  You don't need to assign each {Playback: macro a separate key, just the first one.  Then open the Playback Normal one and assign it a different speed key.

Also, if you don't like Auto Magic and the info bar in version 5, just shut it off.  You don't need to return to version 4.  But like Jenny says, give it a fair shake and see if it saves you any time.

Okay, maybe I'm just dense, but how?  I just tried it, and it didn't do anything. Alt J plays the audio. As audio is playing back, do Alt and left or right arrow?  Didn't work for me. I'm on Vista, if that makes any difference.

Quyen, I slow my audio down by using Alt + left arrow or speed it up using Alt + right arrow.
