This group is for Version 5 users to share what aspects of Version 5 they are using and why.....as well as requests for help as problems arise using Version 5.

I just downloaded Version 5 (a year after it came out), and I feel like I'm learning Eclipse all over again.

Would greatly appreciate input from other Version 5 users.

Comment by Christy Fagan, CRR, RMR, CSR on April 21, 2012 at 10:37: I never was on 4 but I think I've heard people mention that globaling with 7 or 8 doesn't work now. You have to use SHIFT + 7 or 8 to get it work because of the info bar having choices of 1-9 to pick as a replacement for the pop-up list of choices it gives you. So you just have to press down one more key along with 7 or 8 to do two and three-word globals.

But there could be others that I'm not aware of. Maybe some you use a lot, maybe some you never used.

What hyperkeys does Version 5 conflict with? I've heard people having trouble with their hyperkeys after converting to Version 5.

Comment by Christy Fagan, CRR, RMR, CSR on April 18, 2012 at 5:46: You can have it print Xs or whatever character you want to take the place of each letter you redacted, or you can have it look like you've used a black marker and marked through it all. Which to me is a waste of toner, so I use the Xs. It looks pretty cool.

And then in the ASCIIs you create, the testimony won't be there either, so your Etrans and everything that go out will have the redacted testimony taken out just like your original that you print, if you print from Eclipse.
