Are you looking for an extra set of eyes?

My name is Cathy Jenquin and I am a transcript proofreader. I have been doing freelance work from home for the last seven years while fulfilling my role as a stay-at-home mom. Being on the cusp of an empty nest, I’m looking to branch out and take on some additional work.

I have experience working with various types of transcript formats and proceedings. My training is based on the concepts included in Morson’s English Guide for Court Reporters, The Gregg Reference Manual, and references by Margie Wakeman Wells. I also realize and respect that each court reporter has their own unique process and preferences.

I have a flexible schedule, offer quick turnaround times, and am available for rush jobs. I can provide you with a copy of my resume, a sample transcript, and a rate sheet at any time. Also, you are more than welcome to contact me at cmjcat@gmail.com with any questions.

I would love the opportunity to work with you and help put the finishing touch on your transcripts!

Looking for a couple more very detail-oriented proofreaders with at least two years' experience, who will proof to my preferences/style. Must strictly follow Gregg Reference Manual and spelling per Merriam Webster and be available to work weekends and turn around work in 24 - 48 hours. I prefer an errata sheet or corrections directly in a PDF.

Please e-mail your experience, two references, rates and turnaround time to qdcsr@aol.com.

Thanks.

Greetings! Three of my reporters are on vacation the next couple of weeks.
If you currently need an eagle-eyed proofreader, I am available! If not, please feel free to keep my information on file in the event you might need a backup proofer or a one-off job. I would also be delighted if you shared my contact info with your colleagues. I can proof via iAnnotate in .pdf format, track changes in Word, convert .txt files, as well as proofing with audio. If you request it, I would be happy to proofread a few pages for you – at no cost – to give you a chance to see my work and decide whether or not we would be a good match. I feel a proofreader and court reporter should be a team, working toward the same goal of producing the best work possible. I will work with your personal preferences and meet your deadlines, because your name is on the finished product. My goal is to help you be excellent!

Are you in need of a detail-oriented proofreader?

I am looking to add a few more clients to my current schedule. I have experience proofreading a variety of legal documents, including medical and legal malpractice, construction, insurance claims, workers’ comp, and general litigation. I refer to Morson’s English Guide for Court Reporters and The Gregg Reference Manual, but I am open to your personal preference.

I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s in special education. For the past eight years, I have worked with children and adults with developmental disabilities. I hold myself to high standards of excellence in everything that I do. While I am not proofreading, I care for my ten-month-old daughter and volunteer with a local animal rescue group. I am also pursuing a course in scoping to increase my knowledge of this field.

If you are interested, you can e-mail me at jpalmerton@gmail.com.

Thank you!

Greetings!

Are you in need of a dependable legal proofreader?  Let me buzz through your work with my meticulous eye for errors! I’m very flexible, do light research, follow Morson's, and can turn jobs around in 24-48 hours - or less! In addition, I can work across different time zones with no problem.  Most importantly, I love what I do and take pride in returning thoroughly proofed work.

My introductory rate for new clients is only $.30 per page for regular, 48-hour delivery. I receive transcripts in PDF and I only return the annotated pages.  This process has helped me streamline my proofing and speed up my return time.

Please e-mail me at lyndsey.swarm@gmail.com at your convenience with any questions or inquiries.  I'd be happy to send you my rate sheet and sample of my work.

I look forward to hearing from you and thank you in advance for your consideration!

Looking for a Case CATalyst proofer -- to be specific -- a retired reporter or scopist who is familiar with the software.

Proofreader and former paralegal.  20 years' experience.  Very thorough.  Proficient in legal and medical terminology.  I can read your transcripts in rtf or pdf and return an errata sheet of corrections.  I also work weekends. Reasonable rates and turnaround. Email me at jacklynn@windstream.net.  I am also on Facebook and you can also message me there on my page.  TIA.  Jacklynn Donaldson.

Hello, everyone!

I have been proofreading exclusively for court reporters for over 20 years now and have many recommendations from CSRs on this site under the "Scopists & Proofers Recommended by Reporters" discussion.  (See link:  http://csrnation.ning.com/forum/topics/scopists-proofers-recommended.)

Due to the annual summer slowdown I would like to add a couple of big producers or several part-timers to my client roster.  My corrections process is very user friendly; you send an ASCII (.txt) file and receive a PDF back from me with your corrections embedded in the transcript so you can see them in context without those dreaded errata sheets!  Corrections are searchable in the PDF and set off in red.

I offer competitive rates, reliability, flexibility, same-day/overnight turnaround (with little notice in most cases), and a couple of different billing options for your convenience including prepayment at a discount.  Payment is handled exclusively through PayPal.

You may message me on this site for more information or contact me directly at chrisrenegar@gmail.com and I will promptly send out my bio, introductory information, and a rate sheet with a sample transcript attached.

For all first-time prospective clients:  Want to just "try before you buy"?  I will proofread your first 25 pages at no cost. I'd love to hear from you!

Hello, fellow reporters!

After 17 short years as a CSR, I have been forced into an early retirement due to health issues.  But I'm not done!! I love my job. In order to stay active in our profession, I have turned to proofreading.  I love, love, love it!   I have expertise in civil and criminal.  I spent seven years on the Law and Motion calendar, followed by five years in criminal felony trials, and my career ended after five short years in civil trials.

I love dailies and expedites, and can accommodate both.

I have CaseCatalyst software and can proof on that for the CC users out there. If you're not on CaseCatalyst you can PDF me your file and I will send an errata back via PDF or Word or Pages.

I will share my rates and references upon request.

I'm currently working with six reporters (all on different software), and I'm looking to add a few more.

I use Margie Wakeman Wells' book, Morson's English Guide, and I Google all proper nouns, attorney addresses, or words I'm not familiar with.

I put a lot of effort into making your transcript look as close to perfect as we can get.  I'm a stickler for consistency, and I can and will give advice on how to clean up your writing/dictionary, if it's ok with you.

There are several qualified proofreaders on this site.  I would be honored if you gave me a shot at providing this service for you.

I offer proofreading services at reasonable rates and any turnaround time that is expected.  I have the experience of typing for court reporters in the 80s (for freelance reporters, agencies and government).  I am also a medical transcriptionist for the last 25 years.  I have been a freelance proofreader/medical transcription for years, so I am accustomed to the routine and discipline required for this type of career lifestyle.

I can mark your transcripts in red or send errata sheet, whatever you are comfortable with, and again, any deadline will work for me.

Please contact me at your earliest convenience for a first job to be proofread.  I WILL PROOFREAD 30 PAGES FOR FREE so you can get to know my work.

Thanks again and hope to hear from you soon.

Hello!

I'm looking for more court reporters or agencies to help me transition to more of a full-time proofreading schedule. I'm available for rush jobs, and can take on work heavy in medical, legal, or financial terminology. With my flexible schedule and negotiable rates, I usually can turn around work in 1-2 business days. If you are looking for someone to help you with your workload, or have any questions, please contact me at swproofreading@gmail.com. I will get back to you quickly! Thank you!
