Hello:  Need a proofer to help on a huge case I am working on.  Have been writing 300+ pages per day - 2 witnesses each day.  Slammed with work at the moment.  Help!  Prefer proofer who proofs on paper and scans back the pages for correction.

Hi, my name is Kathy and I am a court reporting student.  I have finished my academic classes.  I would like to start out as a proofreader to gain experience with transcripts.  I live in the Sacramento area.  After joining CSRNATION (this morning) I realize there are many  experienced proofreaders out there.  Although this would be my first job, I'd be very excited to get started.  I am available anytime and very dependable.  My e-mail address is kathyschwing@sbcglobal.net

Looking for reporters needing a proofreader!  Recently had a couple of my reporters retire, so have time available for quick turnaround.  Was a court reporter for 30 years, last six years as proofreader/scopist working on CaseCatalyst.

Hi, Do you need a perfectionist to proofread?  I am Jamie and I am just beginning this venture so I am completely available for your rush job.  I have a Bachelor’s in Business Education (which involved extensive training in proofing and editing skills) and a Masters in Business Administration.  I have taught school (business skills) and have worked as a scopist in years past.  My schedule is flexible and I am very dependable and responsible.  I am a voracious reader and very detail oriented.  Rates will be reasonable and turnaround  prompt.  I proof from a PDF and return only the pages that have been marked with corrections

  • Exemplary skills in punctuation, grammar, and vocabulary

  • Communication Skills

  • Use Morson’s Guide

Hi, I am a busy California reporter and have IMMEDIATE need for a proofreader with consistent availability for quick turnarounds, including weekend work.  I would prefer someone with book or other editing background/experience.  I don't follow Morson's Guide; just standard English punctuation rules.  I do a lot of technical and expert work, so need someone who is capable of handling that type of material.  I pay twice a month via bank-to-bank transfer.  Great English skills, flexibility, and attention to detail are paramount.  I send text files and would like corrections inserted directly into the files, using some type of scan-able flag.  However, I'm open to other methods of receiving corrections.

If interested, please send rate, turnaround, and contact information to elenachester@earthlink.net.  Thank you!

My desk is clear.  If you need proofing, I'm available.  Been proofreading for 18 years, follow Morson's Guide.  maryajb2@aol.com

Are you looking for a proofreader who actually works on weekends, uses Morson's English Guide for Court Reporters and scans back documents? Well, you have come to the right place!

My name is Jane Goldberg. I have been proofreading close to three years now. My background includes working at a newsletter publishing company for 13 years proofreading personalized newsletters, proofreading of the Barrister newsletter at the Broward County Bar Association in Fort Lauderdale for five years. At present, proofreading transcripts for court reporters. My clients extend from Florida to California. My rates are very affordable. Please see my website: www.proof-perfect.biz

I am California CSR 9822 and have worked as a court reporter since 1993 doing depositions, arbitrations, mediations and civil trials. After taking time off to be "booster" mom to my two daughters I find myself an empty nester and wanting to offer Case CATalyst scoping or proofreading services. During my "off" time I did CATalyst editing and proofing for some court reporter friends but would like to add to my clientele. I am on the most current version of Case CATalyst and I have a two computer, two printer home office. As a long-time reporter, I understand the ins and outs of the business, I am reliable, professional and do all the necessary research to help make your product the best it can be. Please check out my website and/or contact me at cafolsom@pacbell.net or (714) 328-1309.

Thanks,

Cari Folsom

I am a proofreader looking for additional clients. I have been proofreading transcripts for approximately 3-1/2 years and was a professional freelance and on-staff editor for several publishing and software companies in the SF Bay Area for more than 15 years. My rates are very reasonable and I am accurate and fast. I am in the Las Vegas area but can work with someone anywhere. I do not have scoping software but generally receive transcripts in text files that I download and proof and then scan and email back to the reporters I currently work with. If you have transcripts you need proofed, please contact me. Cheryl Hogan

Hi everybody,

I just wanted to update my proofreading status in regards to my ad a few comments down the page from this one.  I've gotten a lot of responses and am now busy enough to where I'm having to turn new inquiries down for the time being.  Thank you so much for your consideration, and I will repost if I should find myself with enough free time for new work again.  Eric Edwards

Eclipse and Case CATalyst scopist/proofreader looking for more work.  I've been scoping for almost six years and would like to pick up more work, especially proofreading.  Please visit my website at www.bettefleming.com for more info about me.  My rates are average.  Looking forward to hearing from you.

Scopist / Proofreader available for work.  I am a working court reporter who loves to scope and proofread on the side.

I know that I’ve expected a lot when I’ve looked for scopists and proofers for myself, and I will bring all those expectations with me and apply them to your transcript!  I have plenty of experience in court, anything from divorce trials to murder trials.  I also am one of the main court reporters for the Commission hearings in my state, which can be extremely technical.  And, of course, regular and medical depositions are welcome.  I use Morson’s English Guide for Court Reporters, and I will take the extra time to do the research or alert you if something needs to be looked at.

I have fair rates, so contact me today at scopingproofreadingservices@gmail.com and let’s get started!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!  CSR NATION IS AN EXCELLENT SITE FOR COURT REPORTERS AND PROOFREADERS.   I AM A PROOFREADER AND DID OBTAIN NEW CLIENTS FROM FLORIDA TO CALIFORNIA DURING 2013! I WANT TO PERSONALLY THANK THOSE COURT REPORTERS WHO HAVE NOW HIRED ME AS THEIR PROOFREADER.

I HAVE NOW ADDED A NEW OPTION FOR SENDING BACK CORRECTIONS. I RECENTLY PURCHASED A NEAT DESK SCANNER.  COURT REPORTERS NOW HAVE THE OPTION OF HAVING THEIR CORRECTIONS SCANNED BACK TO THEM OR BY WAY OF AN ERRATA SHEET.  PLEASE SEE MY WEBPAGE.  IE TESTIMONIALS

I ALSO UTILIZE MORSON'S ENGLISH GUIDE FOR COURT REPORTERS. IT HAS BEEN A WONDERFUL TOOL FOR PROOFREADING TRANSCRIPTS.
