I am skilled in proofreading a variety of transcripts, including transcripts with medical and legal terminology. I was taught using Morson’s English Guide for Court Reporters, Margie Wakeman Wells’s resources, and NCRA guidelines.

I proofread in PDF format which allows you to retain control of your transcript and have the final say. I read your document word for word paying attention to spelling, punctuation, and the context of the transcript. I have an eye for detail and am skilled in researching names and terms.

I was an editor for various publishing and software companies in the San Francisco Bay Area for many years - on staff and freelance. I also proofread transcripts for several years, both in text format and text with audio backup, working for various court reporters and scopists. I have been out of this line of work for a few years but would like to start proofreading again. My rates are reasonable, I'm very accurate, and have never met a deadline I couldn't meet or exceed! Would be happy to do a test project for you to get started.

I am interested in proofreading for any court reporters or scopists in need of proofing services. I have an extensive background in editing and proofreading, and worked for several years proofreading transcripts for scopists and court reporters in the Las Vegas area. I then went to work full time in an office in Las Vegas and stopped doing regular proofreading. However, I have now moved to Utah and am looking for some steady proofreading work again.
