I would like to find a proofreader.  My proofer of many years died suddenly in December and I still haven't found someone.  We need to use Eclipse version 4.3 or TXT files.  I can also cook up scoping as well, but finding a great proofer is the priority.  Please get in touch at bringinthejury@gmail.com  Thanks!  Scott Sinclair

Hi, Reporters! I am a full-time proofreader, and I have been proofreading for six years. Prior to that, I was a court reporter in the Los Angeles area for 24 years. I am aware of the difficulties reporters face, such as duplicate words, missing articles, and the need for a large medical and legal vocabulary. I am more than happy to take on new and/or experienced reporters. After you send me the transcript in .pdf format, I make corrections directly on the transcript in red ink. If you want me to simply make corrections, that is fine; if you want the grammar or punctuation rule I'm using with a short explanation, that is fine also. My rates may be a few cents higher than other proofreaders, but I have many years of experience, both as a reporter and as a proofreader. If my name is connected to your transcript, I am going to want it to be as pristine as possible. I am available for all types of work, and I am always available for expedites. References available upon request. You can reach me at lisledewar@gmail.com.

I am an experienced proofreader having read 700,000+ pages since November 2002. I will critique and provide an errata for at least 15 random transcript pages at no charge! Normal turnaround is 3 to 4 calendar days.

Now proficient with proofreading using digitalCAT software with partial audio or no audio!

Heavy background in medical and legal fields, and I also managed a California court reporting agency.

Please visit my website, We Never Sleep Proofreading, for contact information, additional rate information, policies, and unsolicited testimonials. I am not listing my email in this post (and suggest you don't either) because they easily end up in the hands of spammers!
