I am looking for a Case Cat scopist to help me with my workload.  I do a lot of asbestos and business cases and need someone with  experience and not someone straight out of school.  I have three other scopists who help me but am looking for one more.  If you are interested and have the time, please send me your rates and experience.  Thank you.

Are you sick and tired?  Does everybody need a transcript yesterday -- just when you planned some fun?  Wouldn't it be nice to just plop on the couch and have someone scope your work for you?  Let me take a load off.  I am a reporter, but I also scope. I use Eclipse. I have a quick turnaround, but in the meantime, I keep you posted on the status of your record.  I'm easy to get along with and truly love what I do.  For some of my clients, my proofreader and I tag-team.  The proofreader gives me the suggested changes, and I make the corrections at no extra cost.  I would love to help you out!  Please e-mail me at delstruss@aol.com.  Talk to you soon!

Looking for a dedicated scopist?

I am an Eclipse scopist with six years of experience, looking to take on a full-time or part-time reporter client. I always work with full audio, pay close attention to detail, and am very resourceful and thorough in my research. I am willing to work rushes (rates apply), weekends, holidays, and even overnight if that's what it takes to meet the deadline. My background includes two years of college, military communications, small business ownership, and researching data for the U.S. Census. I am self-employed, and scoping work is my number one priority.

I was reporter-trained, and can provide excellent professional reference for my skill. Discounted rates apply on the first job. Please contact at jpwdave@hotmail.com for any inquiries.

Very experienced reporter with some time on my hands!  I've been reporting depos for 22 years and pro-temming in court for the last nine months.  I'm not getting a ton of transcripts in court (and pro-tem rates in court are not particularly high), so I'd like to take on some scoping.  My turnaround is lightning fast and my rates are shockingly reasonable :)  My normal habit is to spot check audio when something looks "off," and I will do full audio scoping when requested for a higher rate.  Please e-mail me at lynpenfield@cox.net and help stop my Bejeweled Blitz addiction!!!  I'm on Eclipse V, but I can still accommodate Eclipse IV.

I have a background in providing CART services and in insurance transcription.

You will find that I have a strong foundation in medical and legal terminology, as well as expertise concerning English grammar.   I am a very conscientious worker who possesses both excellent research skills and a strong attention to detail.  My regular turnaround time is four days or less, and rates start at $1.00 per page; I will do my best to accommodate your needs.  I work with both Eclipse (v.5) and Case CAT (v.12).  I would be happy to provide both a resume and recommendations.

I would love to be of service and thank you for your consideration,

-Sheila Nyhagen

To Hardworking Reporters:
I am a court reporting student in my 180s, looking to start scoping while I finish school.  My software is Case CATalyst Version 12 (full professional version with audio sync), which will be updated to Version 13 in February.
I have completed all my academics.  (I took grammar, punctuation, medical, and legal classes from the famous Mr. Matthews of Bryan College -- and got all As.)  I've also participated in Case CATalyst training classes with Sandi Starbuck.
My rates start at $1.00 a page, with a four-to-five-day turnaround.  I use Dropbox for accepting files.
Thank you!  I can't wait to help you out!

I attended court reporting school and reached the 225 level but had to quit school at that time.  I have been scoping since 2002 for freelance and official court reporters across the country, and I use Case Catalyst 12 with audiosync.  I am familiar with Dropbox, Sendthisfile, T3, as well as other transfer programs.
If exhibits are provided to me, I have a second computer monitor that I use to compare spelling, punctuation, etc. All video jobs get full audio, obviously, and non-video jobs get a majority of audio.

My turn around time is whenever a reporter tells me it is due, if not sooner. I never sit on a job until the last minute.  I scope full time so I am available for expedites, etc.  I have very reasonable rates for clean, real time writers and offer proofreading services also.

I invoice on the 1st and 15th of each month and prefer payment within two weeks, if possible.  This is flexible, however, if the reporter needs to wait until she is paid.

If you are familiar with depoman.com or any of the reporters on there, I have scoped for some of the reporters on there and would be more than happy to give you names if you'd like.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I'd be more than happy to answer them.  I look forward to hearing from you soon.  Thank you for your time and consideration.

I am currently available for any work you may have available whether that's dailies, overflow, or if you're looking to develop a long-term relationship. I have Eclipse 4.3 and 5. I prefer to work with full audio and your preferences. Morson's is my usual go-to guide.

I also proofread and can return the corrections in Eclipse; read the file on my Kindle and send the proofed file back to you; print the file and send a PDF of corrected pages; or whatever your preferred method may be.

I have been working in medical transcription for over 12 years; therefore, I have a huge advantage in any medical-related depo you may be taking. Please contact me at kaleidoscopist@rocketmail.com or 716-790-1729 and I will answer any other questions you may have.

Warning: Read no farther if you do NOT want your records scoped correctly.

You chose to continue.  Good. :)

I attempt to adhere to Gregg Reference Manual (although witness speak does not always make that possible).  I have 20 years' experience as a freelancer and official.

Please e-mail me for rates and/or references.

Hello.  I almost never post, but I sure enjoy reading y'all's posts (I'm from Texas).  I am a working official.  I also have taken up scoping for others.  I am on Eclipse.  I use auto indexing.  I received a Gregg Reference Manual for my birthday (my mother knew I would LOVE it -- and she was right).  I am very persnickety with my records and will be with yours too (no comma before "too" per Gregg).  However, you're the boss.  If my preferences conflict with yours, then I do it your way.  I have Dropbox if you prefer to send your files that way.  I am happy to listen with or without audio.

For some reporters, I tag-team with a proofreader I know (or can use yours) and then make his/her corrections (at no extra charge on my part).  That's just an idea once you get to know my work.

If you are interested, please e-mail me for rates and/or references.  Look forward to hearing from you!

Greetings Everyone!

I am a court reporting student who is scoping my way through school!  I have the Eclipse software with my own up-to-date support.  I scope to the full audio of every job.  Before the economy went south, I was an English teacher so scoping has been a great fit for me.  If you are in need of a good scopist, please feel free to contact me.

Thanks,

Jennifer Morrow
