Hello Robert, I have a three tier fee schedule. The upper echelon is for the work I do for law firms, the middle range is for agencies and the wholesale rate is for agencies with their own video post production departments. Here in the Northeast everything is very expensive. We have the highest taxes in the country, insurance rates are also the highest (health, auto, homeowners) , the cost of living is comparatively higher here than anywhere else in the country. This has to be factored in as well as equipment amortization costs, so the market rates reflect this. To illustrate the difference in our markets, my wholesale rate would probably be higher than your retail rate. Then again, it is much cheaper to live in OK than NJ, I assure you!
