wow, how weird is that! i have been thinking about you alot lately. No, can't afford to go to school yet, and I would not want to have to drive down that pass this time of year. There is LOTS of fog and a lot of the time snow on the pass. I plan on starting back in March, or earlier if the paycheck and weather provides. Yeah, I am so sick of it all too, but I really want to do this for a career. At Lowes things are pretty good, they have given me full time for about 3 weeks, but the hours were really scarce, this store is really, really slow. But my personal boss said the store manager is working hard on getting me a full time posotion, so I hope it works out. Better go, but please write back soon. I miss you, Love ya, Candy
HI!!!!!! Yes, my mom asked me to come back in June. I got a transfer here to Lowes on a Friday and had to show up for work on Tuesday. Actually, it was down in Rancho Cucamonga, but now I work up here in North Apple Valley. The store is slow, but I like it a lot. I think about you all the time and miss you very much. How is school? Write back soon! Love you! Candy
Thanks for the friend add. :) And for the kind words about my blog, stenonerd.blogspot.com. I am on facebook, but I don't really use it. This is the best way to get a hold of me -- on CSR Nation -- or on my blog.
Yes, we ALL need a little bit of encouragement every now and then! :) Hope school is going well for you, and hope you enjoyed your Special Day day yesterday. :)
I'm a court reporting student and sooooooooooooo excited about becoming a court reporter, too! Please check out my blog -- stenonerd.blogspot.com -- where I chronicle my court reporting journey and where I hope to be an encouragement and good source of info to fellow court reporting students like yourself. Thanks in advance.
Holy cow, how did you get so many pics on here?! I've been trying to upload pics of my daughter, can't seem to get it right. Anyway, enjoy your break. See ya next week. :)
Sounds like we're much alike. I had the same issues in school. I hung on every word until it was perfect. Annoying during school and took a while but I have heard now from colleagues that my writing is superb.
And it gets better when you're out there. I'm now able to zone out and even think of something else while writing, unless it's a difficult or foreign witness.
To get through the tests I'd put or find something like a penny on the floor about three feet in front of my machine and simply think of keeping my eyes on that item the entire time, instead of "analyzing" my way through each stroke. It was a suggestion from the teacher and actually helped quite a bit. --- Good Luck! Michelle
