I'm a small agency in NJ and I'm contemplating using the Real Legal program so that my reporters can send in an ASCII file and I can print and send out for them. This seems to be the wave of the future!  Does anyone have any opinions on the program? Thanks for your  help!

I searched the help section on my Windows 7 computer and there is a way to set up electronic signatures through Windows 7.  I have not had the time to figure it out but you can do it.

I just called RealLegal to see how much it was for me to have it for all agencies as opposed to just the one that signed me up.  They have a special going on right now where they waive the setup fee until Friday, and then there is a monthly fee, which I'm not in a position to pay for since work is slow.

Kim, I really don't think it matters whether you have them attach your signed seal or you do it, either way your agency is paying for you.

I have mine on file with them too.  No charge.  Certain court reporting firms across the country like to access my signature that way.

Kim, as far as I know you do not pay for the signature since your agency set it up, that is the transcripts you sent to them.  I always applied my seal and never was charged.  I'm thinking about calling RealLegal to see how much it is for me to do on all transcripts, other agencies than the one who originally set me up.  It just seems to be better.

Thanks, Rosalie. That's good to know.

Yes, it is.  Tomorrow I will see if I can put the instructions on here, but if not, RealLegal is very helpful.

Is it easy to apply your signature yourself? I read the manual, but I didn't understand how to do it. I was going to call.

Kim, I just reread by posting and seen I had "all they have to do is sign it."  I'm glad you understood what I wasy saying.  It should have read "all they have to do is print it."

Ask them about it.  I feel you have more control over your transcripts.  I'm not sure if it's that big of a deal, though.

Kim, you can apply your signature yourself before you send to the agency, that way all they have to do is sign it, unless that's the way your agency wants you to do it.
