As they say, all journeys begin with the first step. I took my first steps one week and one day ago, Wed., April 30, 2008. That's the day I started training with the Court Reporting At Home Program. My ultimate goal is to do broadcast captioning, but I must first learn steno and become very proficient in order to transition into captioning.

So far, the program is going great. I am at the end of lesson 2 of the 20 theory lessons. After that, it will be all about speedbuilding and I know it's going to get harder and harder. However, I am determined to get through this!

My best work of course is raising my son, Seth. He is 7 and is my reason for getting up each morning and doing what I have to do!

I'll keep you posted on this journey and thanks for visiting my little space on the web!

Hi Janice! Nice to see you here. I'm happy you are enjoying the program as much as I am, I have been at it all day today, moved into lesson 15 YIPPEE, however I am struggling with capitalizing, so warning, when you get to caps, slow down and really get it before you move on, they are in every lesson after you learn them.

Good luck, Janice. Remember what they say, "How do you get to Carnegie Hall?" "By taxi." LOL. No, silly, practice, practice, practice. I wish you well on your goal and we're all here to help you along the way.
