UPS is driving me insane. You can never find ground shipping forms at any of the UPS stores. When I drop packages off at UPS, you can't track them until they've been delivered which kind of defeats the purpose of tracking.

Their last pickup time is at 4:30. AARRGGGHH!!!

I prefer FedEx. When I drop off a package at FedEx, by the time I go home, it's in the tracking on the computer.

You can drop off until 5:30 p.m. for ground.

They have tons of forms.

Here in Houston, UPS is great, IMO. Those guys work like dogs! They are running every time I see one, and they work late, too. BUT my son tried to get a part-time job for the summer and they pay barely above minimum to work in an unairconditioned warehouse midnights, have to handle 1400 packages an hour or some ungodly amount. I told him, for $7 an hour, it would be work at Walgreen's, cool and not hard physical labor. I was surprised they didn't pay at least $10.

I called their "complaint line" yesterday at 3:30 Pacific time. They said the whole department was in a meeting. Are they insane? UPS is nationwide, how can they put a whole department nationwide in a meeting and not have anyone available.

You know that if you have an account with either of them you can do everything online. It saves your addresses. Easy-peasy. All you need to do is give them a credit card to open an account. Better than handwriting out those dang forms.

As far as UPS v FedEx: UPS is made up of union employees, but not FedEx. That's one of the BIG differences I've found between the two.
