I was wondering when an attorney asks a question and the witness repeats the question verbatim, do you use a special brief stroke, or do you just rewrite the question?
Thanks!!! :)

I use DIT/DIT, and that's defined as a realtime macro that copies and pastes from the prior bank to the current back.

In other words, if the Q is
Q. Did she go with Jane?
And the witness repeats, I'd do:
STKPWHR / SD*EG / W / JAEN / FRPBLGTS / DIT / DIT
and it would come up:
Q. Did she go with Jane?
A. Did she go with Jane?

Voila! Of course if there's a variance, I'll copy and past, stroke the added words as mentioned before, and edit on the fly. :) HTH!

A teacher of mine when I was still in school said once that she would use the whole lower bank with vowels as her stroke for repeat when trailing.
