Oh, and Christine (Weber) Kirley told me Mark K. is having another bootcamp in the spring. Not sure exactly where, but I know she meant it is going to be in So. Cal.

We went together to a bootcamp he had in L.A. in Dec. of '06 and had a blast. Her daughter learned his theory and is now in her 200s.

You remember her, right??

She's one of my friends. If you go to her page, I'll know you'll remember her. She's the one that was in that horrible car accident right after getting out of school.

She's an amazing person, and her daughter is equally amazing.

Oh, and we have the guitar hero -- just not the latest one.

Our 17 YAOERLD is going to end up doing the dorm thing, too, I think. He's the one that never has to crack a book and can recite a two-hour chemistry lecture two years later. :)

I've tried to get him over to the dark side -- reporting -- but he won't have it. He'd be amazing. I know he'd be out in a blink. Musician/Saxophone player/athletic, and the closest thing to a photographic memory that I've ever seen.

My biggest fear with him is girls. He's also my most sensitive child, loving, touchy feely, so if he doesn't get pw'd, it will be a miracle. :)

They're all so different. It just amazes me.

Gotta go. We're celebrating Christmas today at Grandma's house in Carlsbad.

Yep, I tried the Game Stops down here. No luck. I tried pretty much every store from here to Victorville -- Best Buy, K-Mart, Wal-Mart, etc.

Alton had a secretary at the company he does most of his work for call around to stores in Orange County and no luck either. She made 14 calls for him. Of course that was on Christmas Eve -- not the best time to be in a panick. :)

Our Miller theory is awesome, as you know. Just isn't all that RT awesome, but with a lot of tweaking, it's just fine.

The only way I was able to get back working is to shorten my strokes. I still feel I'm always on a day-to-day basis, and it makes me cherish every moment. I'm just so thankful.

My hands go so slow right now on my machine. (Typing on this site is my biggest pain, but I love it.)

You would be shocked what theories are being taught these days. I'd take Herman Miller over pretty much any of them -- save Magnumsteno/Stenomaster.

An example: "bombs" is three strokes in Phoenix theory.

They teach BAUM/-B/-Z

Same with bombing and bombed.

Had a simple bomb prelim and a group of the Sage students were in observing. I went over to talk to them when it was finished, and their eyes were like silver dollars. How did you do that???

Well, then I figured out they were three stroking the main topic of conversation.

Isn't that amazing??

So, yes, for the third time, I think we had an awesome start, and I am so appreciative.

Most new theories also don't utilize wide keys. Can you believe it??

Wii??

How fun!!

We tried to find the Wii Fit and totally bombed.

Do you have that??

If you don't, Ms. Fit you would LOVE it, I'm sure.

Hoping to get it this weekend.

My 17 YAOERLD, Cole, played with his girlfriend's Wii Fit the weekend before Christmas and loved it and came home jazzed about it, so we frantically tried to find one this week. Guess everyone else was in the same boat.

I gave it a little more thought about the attorney, and I think he may have appeared in my dept. Too funny! If I get a minute, I'll look to see what I did on that day.

Maybe. I can't remember what I did yesterday, let alone last week. :)

Hope you had a wonderful day. We just got through with a marathon game of Spiderman Monopoly. We were laughing hysterically by the end of it. My boys were making all kind of sidelines deals. So much fun!

Tuckerman slowing down??

Guess he must be getting old. :)

Yes, if our kids are happy, it sure makes you get through life with a smile, that's fo' sure!

Tuckerman??

Totally forgot about him. Does he still win the prize for fast talking??

Haylee is kickin' butt in Key West, Florida. She went there two Spring Breaks ago and stayed. She's a bartender in a hot cowboy bar -- reminds me of Coyote Ugly!

She flairs -- throws bottles, even lit ones. She just had a flair off with the other great flair bartender in Key West, a male, and they advertised it on the radio down there as male v. female thing, and she ended up winning hands down.

Haylee said he must have been drunk but said she did awesome.

Anyway, she's making bank, renting a two BR house for $1800. bucks a month, and lovin' life. Every chance she gets she's in the ocean.

I haven't seen her since Thanksgiving '07 when we all went out to visit her, so I'm really missing her right now.

Gotta go!

Oh, and my friend Christine Kirley is Christine Weber. I know you got to remember her! Think you both took the same CSR.

She's still just the most awesome person. Her daughter is going to CR school and is doing great. She's just a chip off the nice block.

Hi, Lynette!

My boys help me with the pics. It's not too difficult, but I can never remember a darn thing. I had a pretty good head injury in '04, and I'm sticking to that -- not that I'm getting old. :)

Clay has his first job today. My friend Judy on here gave it to him. She, along with many other super great reporters, have been so generous with their time and knowledge.

Sites like these are so great for keeping up, and we all have so much in common, it starts to get like a family away from home.

One warning: Addiction might set in. :)

Did I tell you Alton almost died on me in July of '07?? Can't remember when I wrote you last. Got about as close as you can get. He's doing great now, though.

It will be nice to catch up with you.
