You thought this was going to be one v. 1 question or something. Well, it's not.

So the man says number, like more numb.

But then it looks like he's saying number (as in digits).

What do you think? How would I writer number to denote more numb.

What is the sentence??? Is it like: Well, num one, ya da ya da ya da??
Would it be bad to just write number?
The more activity I do the number it feels.

v.

The more activity I do the numb'er it feels.

Any other recommendations?
Ouch. I see your problem. I didn't see the word numb"er" in the dictionary as a comparative form. Maybe you could put it in quotes. I don't think numer is a word. I'm stumped. Sorry.
You could do any of these:
numb'r
"numb"er
"number"
or just plain ol' number. I think it makes sense in context. No one will think of the word for numeral over the comparative of numb because it's obvious he means numb. I wouldn't worry about it.
