Can anyone enlighten me as to how many pages a proofreader can do per hour? I'm afraid I'm a bit slow.

With a good reporter, up to 50 pages an hour :)
I do about thirty depending on how clean it is when I receive it.

It really depends on the lines per page, density of the transcript, format used by the court reporter (since that varies from state to state), whether it is an expert, how clean the writing is; the list is endless.

Be that as it may, I probably average around 50-60 pages per hour for a deposition and less (sometimes way less) for court hearings and trials.
