It has been so exciting to be networking with scopists and even putting scoping teams together over the past two years on the different CAT programs when a court reporter was in a pinch and needed the work done NOW. Joyful Leads is thankful for the many scopists that are willing to network and work as a team to make large projects more manageable. Working together always makes the work lighter and gives us the opportunity to spread abundant work with others.
Joyful Leads hopes more scopists will come forward to take the scoping exam soon because there is a definite need for Case CATalyst teams to be formed. So feel free to take the scoping exam (or provide three court reporter references), sign up for the Joyful Leads, and then enjoy a busy summer. These scoping teams are originating through Joyful Leads.

Because of the level of professionalism that Joyful Leads provides the court reporters in our scoping work, we have no problem keeping and getting additional reporters referred to us!!

We have readily seen that scoping is a competitive market. If you don't watch for the tiny details, strive for consistency, and pay attention to the reporter's preferences, you'll have a hard time getting or keeping court reporters.

Scopists are paid directly by the court reporter and not Joyful Leads.
Feel free to send an email to drscoping@gmail.com if you have any questions regarding this scoping
program.

Ms. Devon Roberts

Hi Devon -- I'm interested in getting into scoping.  I was a reporter for ten years in Nevada and California.  What scoping exam are you referring to?  I would appreciate all the info you have.  Also, what software would you recommend that I buy?  Thanks!  Mary Holliday

Hi Mary,

Thank you for inquiring.  Which CAT program have you been using?  And how long has it been since
you were reporting in Nevada and California?

The scoping exam consists of mainly scoping a videotaped file within a CAT program so that I can
actually see your skills in action.  When you go to the www.joyfulscoping/JoyfulLeads.html page, go
down to where you see the "Test" link.  That's where you will place the order for the test and let
me know whether you want to submit a videotaped file of your own or whether I need to provide one
for you.  I do charge $10 for this test because of the time it takes me to provide you with the
evaluation process.

If you want to have specific recommendations regarding software, feel free to contact me at
drscoping@gmail.com.  I'll be happy to share that information with you at that time.

By the way, we continue to need more experienced scopists to handle the expedite scoping requests
Joyful Leads oftentimes receives.

Sincerely,
Ms. Devon Roberts

Hi Devon -- I have purchased the Eclipse 5 software and I have been learning the editing section.  Do you think I'm ready to take the test?  I was a reporter for ten years and it's coming back to me faster than I thought it would.  I don't know if the editing skills would be enough to take the test.  I would really appreciate your input.  Thanks!  Mary Holliday

Hi Mary,

It's great to hear from you again.  If you don't mind, please contact me through my email of
