I was just informed by a client that they will be using Textmap for their litigation support software.  Lexis told me that CaseViewNet is the realtime reporting software.  Stenograph just told me about licensing fees.  Has anyone worked with CaseViewNet with their Eclipse software?  And what about these fees?

The CaseViewNet is a lawyer's receiving software just like bridge.  Eclipse can send to CVN using the Case view output protocol.  you will not get edits that you do while realtiming to refresh on the attorney's CVN display.  there is no charge for the CVN software; it is a free download for the attorney.  the reporter doesn't need anything special.

I'm on Eclipse and have CVN on all of my loaner laptops to the attorneys.  I don't use cables - I use Stenocast.  It's great.

The licensing fees come into play when you actually purchase the CaseviewNet package from Stenograph which includes a router.  But if you're on Eclipse it doesn't matter because I do not believe your edits will ever refresh on the attorney's computer anyway - you'd have to be on Case Catalyst as your CAT software.

Thanks, Donna!

Thanks, Dave!

I was at a seminar this weekend and the Stenograph salesperson told me that Eclipse is not compatible with CaseViewNet.  But from some of what people are saying below, maybe she's wrong.
