The dictation portion of the exam requires the candidate to attain 95% accuracy
for 5 minutes at 200 words per minute (wpm) of variable material and 95%
accuracy for 5 minutes at 225 wpm of two-voice testimony.

I'm just wondering if the 200wpm is jury charge or a combination of jury and lit?

I'm practicing for next month's test.

I just know that California and New York are the most difficult tests to take.  The rest are supposed to be a lot easier.  Don't know if that's still the case, though.

Good luck to you.  I hate taking tests; my hands start to shake.

Fun fact, Kelli (lol): I'm a CA CSR but moved to NJ for a short time and traveled ahead of the move so I could take the NJ test. When I was turning in my test and they saw that I was "the CA reporter," they asked me how I found their test, and I said kinda challenging, actually. I remember it had medical testimony. They told me, yeah, supposedly CA is the hardest and NJ second. Who knows?

Good luck, Janet.

It's really a combination.  It's got elements of both.  Not as easy as a jury charge but not as hard as a straight lit.

Janet, don't quote me on this but I think the RPR gets you into Illinois without taking the test.

This is correct. Illinois has reciprocity with the RPR.

Thanks for the replies, everyone!
