Has anyone ever tried this portable speaker?

I don't understand what it does.  Looks like a cell phone.  What are you supposed to do with it?

On the Depoman site someone answered me with this.  Said they'd used it for years with their laptop to enhance the speaker playback and that it works great.  It looks like you could use it to boost your speaker on your cell, too, without using bluetooth or an earpiece.  She said it just plugs right into the laptop.  It uses a rechargeable battery.  It's a portable stereo speaker system.

One of the reporters was editing.  She had her little speakers out.  I asked her what they were for.  She said that whatever comes out of your earphones has to come through the speakers, that your earphones work only as good as your speakers do.

Mary Jo, I disagree.  My Fujitsu records really good quality with a good mic.  But when I play back on the built-in laptop speakers the volume is not loud enough, even turned all the way up, so that I need headphones to hear it very well at all, or little external speakers I carry so that I can play back the audio for someone to hear at a job.  But with the external speakers or headphones you can hear great.
