I am currently using the student version of Eclipse.

I have been trying to take assessments, but I am  unable to copy and paste anything over 10 pages onto a word document.  I spoke to tech support and they said the student version will not allow copy and pasting.  The only thing I could think of doing is printing my work and scanning it, and then sending.

Has anyone out there run into this situation with the student version?

Anybody have any suggestions?  HELP!

I am a student not a court reporter. I just started doing assessments with Captioning companies, and had to do a 30 minute segment, but couldn't copy and paste it into a word document. It would only allow me to copy and paste 10 pages. I thought perhaps I could work around it by restarting my computer and even trying to copy and paste in piece-meal, but alas Student Eclipse knows how many pages..or something..who knows....

I don't have the student version.  Can you export using RTF and then open the RTF in Word and save it as a Word document?  The only thing I can suggest is copying and pasting it 10 pages at a time, which would be awful if you have a large file.

Cannot export anything due to it being an educational version.  Won't even let me copy and paste after 10 pages, even though I tried. But thanks for suggestion.  Appreciate you trying to help!

I don't know what assessments are, but if you are trying to get an eclipse ecl file into word try this.  Make an ascii page image file of the job.  Open it up in Notepad.  Save as UTF-8. I save it to my documents as a different name to make it easy to find. Close the Notepad.  Right click on the same file and find the (open with) click on word and it will open up in word and then you can save it as a word file from there.

Again, I may be way off on what an assessment file is...just thinking it might be an ecl file.

Can you paste the first 10 pages into Word, delete those 10 pages from Eclipse, edit the next 10 and print?

Still working on it---quick question Stefanie: how do you:  Make an ascii page image file of the job?

I wonder if your student software has this, but in my eclipse toolbar I have a print icon, and ascii icon along with many other icons.  Do you have that?  Or under "Production"  I have output to ascii there too.
